Can I please reserve a copy as I have a Smethwickian who served in the 1st Battalion KOSB - 2496 Sergeant J Gallagher. He served in the ABW as a Reservist and when he received the recall he was working in Mitchells & Butlers Brewery (once upon a time found at the bottom of Cape Hill in Smethwick) as a Time Clerk. According to medal rolls his QSA had 4 clasps - Paa, Joh, CC & SA1901. I have transcribed 3 letters he wrote from the front to his employers and were partially published in the local newspaper. After the ABW he returned to Smethwick and can be found on the 1911 Census. Aged 43 he re-enlisted in the KOSB at start of WW1 but never served overseas and was transferred to the Highland Cyclist Battalion.
