TOPIC:

I have been sent the two photos below - purportedly of Green Point during the Boer War.

Can anyone confirm or deny this to be the case? Would be interested to hear from members. It looks to me like a Remount Depot/Base

Not sure about the first one, but the second photograph looks later to me.
Several men are wearing shorts, which I cannot recall coming across in an ABW setting before. Also, all ranks are wearing Wolseley pattern helmets, which during the ABW were generally only worn by officers. Perhaps WWI?

Another photograph by W.R. Goodwin, this time of the Natal Carbineers, was posted on the forum 2 1/2 years ago. I notice you suggested at the time that it might have been taken in German South West Africa during WWI.
