I am looking for any personal information on a Private C Boston of the 19th Hussars.
A christian name and birthplace would be most helpful.

Like you would have already done, I searched for his papers without success.

The newspapers only report an initial.

Regimental histories are few. The best option seems to be 'A short history of your regiment. XV and XIX. Aldershot: Gales & Polden Ltd. 1935. But at only 66 pages, it is unlikely to have the detail required.

I have found the following on FMP when I entered C. Boston:

1901 Census

Private Charles Boston.
19th Hussars.
Born in 1878 in Hoxton, Middlesex.
23 years of age and single.
Current address was The Barracks, Canterbury, England.

I hope this is your man, Boston is not a common surname.
