Quick answer is No. There may have been Gurkha orderlies for senior officers, however. It was not policy to use Indian Army (native) soldiers in a combat role against the Boers; although many did serve in non-combat roles and the British army in SA would have been far worse off without them. Indeed, I am sure that many column commanders would have silently wished for a few squadrons of crack Indian Army cavalry under their command.
