Hello,

Can anyone help me with my search for the 1904, HMSO publication, pps 348, entitled: "CONDITIONS OF SERVICE OF SOUTH AFRICAN AND OVER-SEA CONTINGENTS EMPLOYED IN THE SOUTH AFRICAN WAR, 1899 -1902"

No copy at the British Library but King's College London do have a copy which I am trying to access.

I think that would be very useful to add to the site.

With thanks
David

David,

I have a copy of this book.
It contains blank copies of attestation papers, etc., for the units listed below.

I'm not sure how easy it would be to scan, given that it is tightly bound and the paper is somewhat fragile. It is, however, a fine copy.

There was a query about that publication on the site some time ago. I forget in what context. However, I have a CD of the pages contained therein but the originals were obviously pretty tatty. It gives blank copies of the various attestation papers, rates of pay, etc.

IL.

Thank you IL and Neville,

I have submitted a request to KCL and will see if they will loan the book. It does look very interesting.

Best wishes
David
