Battle of Toba Mountain 30 April - 1 May 1900.

During the British army advance to Winburg, the Boer’s under the command of Commandant Phillip Botha were found be holding a line of ridges and Toba mountain that blocked the route.

Dear forum members, please could you guide me to Toba Mountain and ridges please. Your help will be most appreciated. Is Toba reference to Table mountain ??

Many thanks

Dave......

Here you are Dave,

Toba is an alternative spelling of Thaba. Thaba Mountain is 43 miles SSW of Winburg, OFS; 10 miles northwest of Thaba 'Nchu and 12 miles northeast of Sanna's Post. .
