Just a quick question; is anyone from this forum going to the OMRS Conference in Canberra this weekend?

If so it would be great to meet-up and put a face to a name.

Yes, I will be there, I live about 90 minutes away from the National Capitol. Not giving a talk this year though (hopefully next year as a Youtube presentation, of our planned battlefield survey and dig, but I will show an eclectic display only partially ABW related. I know Ryan Darby will also be in attendance, but outside of that not sure.

Good to hear, I know that Steve D will be there, and I think he is giving a talk.
Would like to catch up with the WA boys that Steve introduced me to at the Albion? when I was over about 3 years ago.

Hi Simon,

We had a catch-up with Steve D last weekend at the Legacy Charity Auction in Perth; he mentioned that he's first up on Sunday morning and is convinced that we will all be too hung-over and/or tired to listen to him

Les is also giving a talk (Crimean I think) but he is great to talk to about the Napoleonic Wars; a number of his Waterloo battlefields relics has made it's way to my house....much to Mrs Sturgys delight
