Compliments of the season to you all. I have bought what I think is an interesting if not unusual QSA - the clasps are, to my mind, not that common a combination but the real prize is that G. Lemon was a Civilian Cook employed in the Foreign Attaches Officers Mess.

Where would I find out more about him other than the medal roll? Is there any literature anywhere which might shed some light on his activities or where he might have, in passing, garnered a mention?

That is an unusual combination of medals. I am not sure of many sources of information for civilians in military service. Perhaps he was mentioned in the reports written by the attached themselves but that may be unlikely?

Engraved naming to a civvy has to be a scarcity, as well as the impressive range of clasps?

I wonder if Lemon is in this photograph of the Foreign Attaches with their staff. There are at least three civilians in the group, though they may be personal servants.

Having seen you post that photo before Neville, I wondered whether or not Lemon, as the Cook in the Officers Mess, would have been one of the civilians in picture. I somehow think he would be but, in the absence of a key to the photo, I can't be sure.
