I really need your help with this.
I was pleased when my sons became interested in the Military service of their Great Grandfather Cpl (later Sergeant, CSM, Colour Sergeant) Thomas Henry Bowley in the Border Regiment. I have searched and found a great deal of info about the battles in which he fought from 15 Dec 1899 to March 1902. I found a picture entitled "Now In The West Country" showing the Sergeants of the Regiment (all dressed in basic uniform) after returning from South Africa, my Grandfather identified as (facing the photo) sitting at left end of the row. I found among some old family papers a full A4 B/W photo of E Company 2nd Border Regt. They were all dressed in semi dress uniforms, Black with white belt, peaked caps, medals and sashes. two ceremonial side drums on ground centre My Grandfather identified as sitting on chair fourth from right beside three Officers carrying swords. He was wearing two of his six medals (and clasps) and his Colour Sergeant's sash. Here is the problem. The only photo like this was almost identical but of A Company!! Can you advise me where I can find the E Company photo I have described so as to 'save as' to my 'Pictures folder' so that I can forward it (among others) to my two sons in Australia. I will try to contact the Border Regiment in Carlisle as well to see if they can help.

PS If anyone else has any leads I could follow to find this photo I would be most grateful for your help. I have tried to include an attachment of the photo of A Company 2nd Border Regt. in No 2 Dress uniform identical to the E Company photo I need but nothing happened! Many thanks. DB
