I am custodian to an extensive collection of turn of the century photographs relating to the 4th Dragoon Guards, mostly for their service in India during the ABW and then in South Africa post-war. It also includes various officers of other regiments. I find great enjoyment in connecting a name, or a medal, to a photograph, and assume I am not the only one! As such I have gone through such images as I have to hand and identified those who served in the war, and whose QSAs will be out there somewhere! Instead of adding photographs to a large variety of extant threads, I thought I would create a central one here. If anyone owns a medal relating to any of these men, or is aware of a connection to them, feel free to reproduce in other parts of the forum.

That’s awesome; thanks for posting.

To put a face to a medal, or artefact, is my ultimate goal as well.

Thanks.
Speak my name so that I may live again
