Hello Chaps,

I have been running around in circles trying to track down the above man in the QSA rolls to the Army Service Corps. He has QSA correctly named up to Condr L.Goodall with the CC, OFS and Transvaal clasps. Could anyone with access to the ASC rolls confirm if he is indeed entitled and of course if he is on the KSA roll.

Thanks in advance

Hi Adrian
Had a look on the Ancestry rolls and there is a:
62 L.Goodhall ASC
Confirmed on rolls for Johannesburg, Diamond Hill C.C and O.F.S. discharged 2-7-01
KSA rolls not located
It is the only L.Goodhall ASC I could find.

Paul :)

Hello Paul,

Thanks for the reply. I must say though, I dont think this is the same chap.

The guy I was after is Goodall and this is Goodhall. Perhaps my man was a Civil Conductor employed locally during the War??

Cheers

Hi Adrian,
Sorry that was my mistake I added an extra H were it should not of been in the post.
Yes the search I did was for L.Goodall, seems a strange coincidence, but nothing suprises me!

Paul :)

Hello Paul,

I thought that was the case :)

I will have a further dig as I am still sure that this is a different man.

Cheers

Hello Adrian,
As paul says, medal and clasps verfied on WO100/206 page 204 with a note "Discharged on completion of agreement" however, clasp combination differs from that on your medal.
