The Mafeking currency went under the hammer at Noonan's on Thursday.

The sub One Pound notes were mostly sold on the day at hammer prices between £45 and £360.

The two One Pound notes were more expensive. No 589 sold for a hammer price of GBP 3,200. Total GBP 4,122. R 95,730. AUD 7,690. NZD 8,230. CAD 6,820. USD 5,020. EUR 4,630. No 638 sold for a hammer price of GBP 1,300. Total GBP 1,674. R 38,890. AUD 3,120. NZD 3,340. CAD 2,770. USD 2,040. EUR 1,880.
