Hello, Some time ago I remember looking at a database with names of men who served but can no longer find it. I am starting to research a man who may have served, but have no details other than his name, birth and death dates. If any good person could point me in the direction of such a database I would be grateful.

Thank you Adrian. I have already looked at the "Name Search" without success. Some time ago I remember looking at a database without a name search but then it could have been to do with the Great War as I research there frequently. I have found family documents and against one name is an entry "enlisted in the RIR and fought in South Africa". Beside this is another entry "May have been in the Boer War" so I am uncertain if he actually fought in the Boer War but thought I would try to find him. Thank you again for your help.

Thank you Meurig and David. Meurig,it was not the boerwarregister that I remember but I will register there and see if I can find him. David, I may be getting confused with a Great War Database of men. Again, many thanks to both of you for your responses.
