William H. Waters appears in the 1901 Census, aged 39 and living at 18 Beaconsfield Road, Seaforth, Lancaster. He is listed as a Master Mariner, living with his wife Julia (aged 42) and two daughters (Dora J, aged 6 and Charlotte E, aged 3). He was born c.1862 in Piccadilly, London.
