This notice appears in The Times on 3 Mar 1900.

I wondered if any member had come across one of these infantry telescopes?

£50, quite a large sum of money, but, the word set is used, I wonder how many would actually make up a set.

A 5s each, that would suggest a complete set were 200 in a set.

One set per regiment?
