I have been told that someone called John Price from Melbourne wrote a book on Roberts Horse in the 1980's.

Anyone ever heard of this?

Could have been a limited run publication. There were a couple covering the ABW back in the 80's and 90's - however, I never heard of one about Roberts Horse.

That author's name, John Price rang a bell. A chap of that name wrote a book titled "Southern Cross Scots" (Aust and NZ participation in the SH 1899-1902) in 1992. The same author also published "They Proved To All The Earth" (Victorian deaths in the Boer war). The latter work I have not so far seen.
The so-called "Roberts Horse" book you were told of could be either of the above.

I have the They Proved one, it is a booklet listing the casualties from the state of Victoria.

I don't think there is anything on Roberts Horse out there
