I will see if I can get two so that you can have one...... Oh yes I also had a spare QSA that must have been made by the same maker and crudely name to a member of the as explained to me K.O.D. (King's Own Dragoons)....... I actually thought the unit may actually be King's Own Drunks for the man who made it......

I think I should perhaps add that I can certainly see where you are coming from there, it would certainly be a most favourable swap, a Defence of Mafeking would be worth around ten times the price of a Diamond Hill these days, I do find it really quite hard to understand, why exactly, even, in the twenty first century there are still provincial jewellers here that scrap both clasps and medals for their silver value.

It is all about price, these are very common clasps, but, sadly, there seem to be more wrong ones around than original at this point in time, moreover, no one wants to get shafted, in particular, by the complete and utter numpty on ebay that has now added "silver" clasps to his list of rubbish that he peddles, he charges much the same as you would expect to pay for original date clasps.
