The word on the street down here is that original Cape Colony clasps are the most hard to find. With most troops coming up through the Cape the vast majority qualified for this clasp and, thus, when repairs are being effected, most medals are in need of this highly sought after commodity.

Good heavens, not a clasp that I've ever had to do without, but, I suppose it doe rather depend upon where you actually choose to look for them.

They do not accept PayPal and last time I sent a Money Order to SA it did not get there and I had to wait 6 months for refund just in case it had been cashed........
