I obtained this flag from S.A. for my collection, reportedly owned by a Boer named Munnic , apparently he farmed in S.A. and it was sold by his grandson.

Basic information I know, but can anybody throw more light on the name.

There was a Burger on the ABO roll called Casper Andries Munnick but the spelling is different.

There was also a Commandant Munnick who did not apply for his ABO. He is more likely but again the spelling is different.

Munnick with a K is the likely correct spelling.

Just checked the original accompanying letter, and it was my mistake, it was a K.
