Berenice, how interesting.

John Grantham is listed as a 1842 Pte on the Cape Police D1 KSA roll (WO100/359p143), serving between 11 Oct 99 and 2 Jan 1902. His early resignation meant that the KSA has the single clasp 1902. That doesn't look right as he had the requisite service for KSA (2).

Both medals were issued to his uncle on 1909.

The QSA roll (WO100/ has clasps CC and OFS. There are lots of annotation on his line (on an already compressed page) but it mentions Chief Con - Elliott and reiterated the resignation/discharge date.
