My Lampen family was reported to have bene in Rietfontein Concentration Camp, before they were moved to Pretoria. Three small children died as a result of camp sicknesses in May 1901 - Johannes, Anne Marie and Hendrik de la Rey Lampen. I notice there is a number of 3 deaths listed under Rietfontein in this list - is there any way to verify the deaths, or find out where exactly this camp was located? Thanks! T Rogers

The 3 deaths in Rietfontein Concentration Camp were Engelbrecht children. I check the BCCD list on British Concentration Camps for Lampen and I could not find any Lampen on the records. I only have a prisoner of war, Herman Lampen from Rustenburg on my pow list.
