That is good news! You could probably "lift" a close up of him from the site - or else I could try here. In the third row from the front there appear to be five officers - do you think your man is the one in the middle? If so, I could go for a close up from Creswicke. Please advise.

The officers are on the supplementary roll page 46 of the pdf.

I think Capt Stockdale may be on the RHS of the officer group, because he has a different hat, and tunic, as well as being more austere! But I am not sure.

He died in Port Elizabeth in 1912, and was born in the West Indies. He was an accountant.

Creswicke Volumes 1 - 8 are under the book section on this site. Where is the pdf (page 46) you refer to Adrian?

On page 46 of the Pdf (there are 69 pages in total) you will see officers , very feintly ) in the supplementary section.

Thanks Adrian - I didn't make myself clear - I am looking for the photos of the Town Guards that IL posted and was under the impression, from the heading of his thread, that they were to be found in Creswicke. I knew that some of Creswicke's chapters were on the site and was hopeful that those with the photos in were on as well
