Recently, in researching the South African campaign activities of a NSW Special Service officer, I was able to obtain a quite scarce copy of "The Nominal Roll of the Overseas Contingents for the Coronation, 1911". Reprinted from the original by the Military Historical Society of Australia in 1978. The roll contains many names from Canada, Australia, Union of South Africa, New Zealand, Rhodesia and the smaller possessions of the Empire at that time. It is possible that some members of units extant in 1911 served during the ABW. If a forum member seeks verification of the entitlement to a 1911 Coronation medal to a person of interest, I would be happy to check the roll.
Regards to all
IL.

I like to see medals for the Anglo Boer War with a Coronation medal, no matter the recipient or the particular medal concerned, the Durbar, for example, is a particular favourite.

For Frank's viewing pleasure.

Two QSA's (both existent) have this medal as part of the group for being members of the Indian Coronation contingent & present for the Delhi Durbar. A total of 132 issued.

David,

That's a great image. I don't recall seeing a Coronation Medal like that before.

For Frank's viewing pleasure certainly does sound, perhaps, rather indecent, upon glancing at the photograph, I would think medal pornography, take it away!
