Captain Ernest Craig-Brown served in the ABW, with the (Queen's Own) Cameron Highlanders, and, by the time of his retirement, in 1925, he was commanding the 1st Battalion. Is he the only person to have seen active service in South Africa to have later had a marching tune named after him, which was composed for the bagpipes?

boxandfiddlearchive.weebly.com/ ... brown.html - the link doesn't take you directly to the page where there's information on both Craig-Brown and the tune. Hold your mouse over Composers & Compositions, then hold it over Tune Titles.

He was buried at Currie kirkyard, a few miles west of Edinburgh.
