Does anybody know of any books on the Relief of Mafeking in particular Colonel Plumer's operations in 1899-1900.

Plumer: The Soldiers General by Geoffrey Powell( Biography but more WW1 than ABW but well worth a read)
The Relief of Mafeking by Filson Young
Mafeking by Brian Gardner
The Boer War 1899-1902 Dispatches from the Front by John Grehan & Martin Mace.
Mafeking is covered along with Kimberley, Ladysmith, Magersfontein and Spion Kop.

See `Plumer's Men' by Robert S Burrett published in 2009 and `Rhodesia Served the Queen' in two volumes by A S Hickman.

Peter those books you listed are very hard to find! I just spent 30 minutes on google and found "Plumers Men" which I will get. No luck with "Rhodesia Served the Queen" but I will keep looking

Have a look on Abe Books Uk
Rhodesia Served the Queen Is there... Around £ 45 quid plus postage. Volume 1. It gets a little pricier for the 2 volumes from overseas SA. Few hundred notes plus postage. But they are available at a price. Good luck with your search.
