Good Morning Paul.....

I checked the book, "Boer War Memorabilia, The Collectors' Guide" and it is in the book but there is no additional information..... It is just one of the many items made for the public......

I have this handkerchief in Blue, Black and Brown (Which I think was Red at one time)printing......

Hello Mike,
Thank you for the information, I thought it might be a common item of the time.
I still think they are interesting pieces and it is a welcome addition to my Boer War collection.
Speaking of "collections" I imagine yours is quite imense Mike judging by the wealth of you knowledge.

Regards
Paul

Hi Again Paul.....

I have been studying and collecting Boer War items, medals and history since the early 60's and I guess that will give away part of my age..... LOL.....

Your best book for collectibles if you can find a copy is "BOER WAR MEMORABILIA, THE COLLECTORS' GUIDE by Pieter Oosthuizen, Alderman Press, 1987, ISBN 0-946619-19-0"...... If you can find a copy it is worth the expense.....

The author used to have a shop in London from the 60's till he closed in the 90's called The Boer War Store in Penny Lane Arcade......

Here are a couple of pictures of cabinets of some of the things that I have....
