I came across the grave, in Ipswich Cemetery, of Colour Sergeant Frederick William Green, "defender of Ladysmith." He died 9.1.1910, aged 48.

The second grave is in a village churchyard not far from Ipswich, and is of Lieutenant Francis Alfred White, "served in South Africa," who drowned in the nearby River Orwell on 7.8.1905, aged 24.

Can we confirm that both men served in the ABW, and their regiments, please?

Hello Berenice
Both men served in the ABW.
Frederick William Green, 663 Sergeant 1st Battalion Devonshire Regiment.
Francis Alfred White, Lieutenant 1st Battalion Suffolk Regiment.

Best wishes,

Dave.
You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.
Best regards,
Dave
