I'm researching the current burial site or memorial of 2080 Trooper Alfred Richards of 3rd NSW Mounted Rifles.
In his file on the Oz-Boer database he was killed on 7 February 1902 at Paardekraal. There is no record of where he is currently buried.
Any assistance from the forum would be welcomed.
Cheers Chris

Hi Chris,
I have taken a look "In Memoriam," by Steve Watt published in 2000. I find 2080 Private A. Richards of 3rd New South Wales Mounted Rifles KIA at Paardekraal on 7th February 1902. Unfortunately, there is no entry under the "Interred" or "Monument" columns.
Under the heading of "Remarks" we find "sA". This denotes that he was a member of A Squadron.
Perhaps a more learned forum member may be able to shed more light on the subject?
I wish you luck with further research on your man.
Cheers Steve
