The British papers of the day don't seem to have much more to say except for an article about Joseph Plunkett which goes on to John MacBride at the end plus this para which appears in some of the gossip columns:



He gets a lot more mentions in the preceding decade and a half but a lot are regarding his divorce.

However, there is this in which Sergeant Joe Wade receives a single mention - a very long article and a bit difficult to replicate the whole of it here:

I have had another look at the Limerick Echo article mentioned above and am in the process of splitting it down into manageable chunks. Here is what might be termed the introduction to the talk John MacBride gave on June 17th 1904 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York. At the time Greenpoint & neighbouring Williamsburg were districts in northern Brooklyn where the residents were predominantly Irish Catholics. As you can see the article was first printed in the Gaelic American which was an Irish nationalist newspaper published in the United States from 1903 to 1951.
