I'm debating buying a copy of Captain Francis M. Appleton's The Volunteer Service Company (1st South Lancashire Regiment) in South Africa during the Boer War, mainly because of the photographs and portraits it provides, identifying individual soldiers. I've seen various snippets of copies that show that the book has pages of portraits of private soldiers labelled with their regimental numbers. Does anybody happen to have a copy, and can confirm whether portraits are provided for the whole company or only for a selection of it? Thanks!

There are 134 very small portraits (excluding officers), all named. I think pretty much evryone is accounted for, but I haven't checked them against the company roll.
