Always generous with his knowledge, I have benefitted from his advice and help on numerous occasions.

It was very distressing to hear the news, a good friend who gave of himself to further the collecting community, he was active up until about 3 weeks ago, providing research help. We had lunch only last November where he told me his plans to retire this year were finalised, such a shame he could not enjoy it.
