Was this the best catalogue of Boer War items?

Hi David.....

As far as I am concerned it was as it was a collection of all kinds of items not just medals.....

There were a few other catalogues of collections but I like this one best.....

David,
Yes, I think it was, I remember running out of money on day one! Lots of bargains to be had the following day, all I could do was sit there and watch, not good!

David

In my big Spring (?Autumn) -clean, most of the catalogues have gone, but the Spink one remains. It was a great buy. Will there ever be another such sale devoted to the ABW?

Regards
Brett

Interested people: I would have to go for the 11/78 Sotheby's catalogue of items from the collection of the late Charles Lovell, MBE. I managed to be top bidder for two items (long since gone) and a group featuring in that auction later turned up. A wonderful collection - even if not illustrated. Every now and again it is worth a look.

I agree Ian......

The Lovell catalogue was fantastic as a collection of medals and I also still have a copy..... What I mean by the Spinks catalogue is that it is a general catalogue of items that are not normally show up for sale all together....
