These photos show the Scots Guards at Pietermaritzburg.
The group photo has written on the reverse "The rough and ready group of my Battalion taken at Pietermaritzburg 16th August 1901 2nd Battalion Scots Guards.
The second image must show the "after" on parade which has written on the reverse "The Guard of honour for the Duke and Duchess of York at Pietermaritzburg furnished by 2nd Battalion Scots Guards 14th August 1901.
