Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen......

I guess you can say that no good deed goes un-rewarded.....

Over the long weekend I cleaned out my garage and there was not enough items to have a garage sale but to much to just throw away.....

I boxed everything up and took it to the local Salvation Army depot so they could sort through it.....

While there I had a look around.....

In the book section I found the following:

History of the War in South Africa 1899-1902 by Major General Sir Frederick Maurice, K.C.B. in 4 volumes along with 4 volumes of Maps and Drawings...... One map missing otherwise complete.....

Total cost for all 8 volumes...... $5.00

What a find! I have searched for a long time here in the UK for a set of the maps. The reprinted edition reproduced the maps on A4 which makes them useless compared to the originals.
