I came across a very interesting item which was donated to the Royal Naval Museum in Portsmouth, Hampshire UK, that I thought interest fellow members. This is a very interesting museum.

Thank you for posting the link to this interesting story. It always amazes me when yet another unusual and possibly unique Boer War relic turns up.

Speaking of unique items ....... A few days ago I was shown some amazing hand-made Boer POW 'art'. Another great collecting theme!

111 years at the back of someone's cupboard? Obviously a time before best before dates!

I'm pleased they decided to donate the item and not throw it away which must have been a temptation given its condition.

I wonder what percentage of QSAs are still surviving in boxes at the back of cupboards?
