Why don't we have Fairs like this out here :(

Never do we see so many QSA's all in one place at the same time.

Hello Adrian,
I think that the geography plays its part here, your country is just so vast with collectors scattered across it, it takes quite a long time to get from Cape Town to Durban and on to Johannesburg, where there still remain a number of very serious collectors, but, no other country comes close to here when it comes to medals, with both the London and provincial salerooms and dealers, it has always been that way and it always will be, there are just so many collectors here.
Well it seems David and Paul have had a rather better day than me. :(
Regards Frank

Hi Frank,

You are absolutely correct, but even our medal fair in Durban(which attracts all the main players from around the country) cannot boast a display of medals like that.

Don't worry, I was also mowing today and then had to sort out an unexpected plumbing crisis. Why is that I work harder on the weekends than during the week ?? :( :( look forward to the morning when I can go back to the office for a rest!!!!

Oh dear Adrian,
That was merely a single stall too, you then still have all the others to look at!
Now then, are you a fully qualified plumber, I have a dripping tap, perhaps you could pop round next week?
Regards, hopefully, Frank

Frank,

I had better move back to the UK then as this is where all the QSA's are it seems.

Frank, I think I can handle most mechanical problems being a qualified aircraft technician however, these days I take it bit easier working in the cryogenics field.

Would love to help you with your leaking taps. When are you booking the flight !!! :) :)

There was a goodly showing of QSAs yesterday and I spotted three Boer War DCMs for sale. You can easily spot these items these days because of the zeroes included in the price.

There was also a good offering of TG medals including Alice and Cradock.

I was quite tempted by a QSA (1) RoL to the Colonial Scouts but, at £260, I gave it a miss. Might come to regret that!

I had 5 hour drive home after the fair yesterday but it was well worth it.
