Good Morning Frank.....

I know you do not buy anything from ebay but I thought that you might have a look at this and give us your opinion.....

It is interesting if the KSA is a single bar to I think it may be Transvaal Constabulary of course a SA unit.....

I can see the suspension bar is damaged......

Hello Mike,
Yes, it's quite nice, the QSA is as worn, although, missing the Transvaal Clasp, he is entitled to those clasps on his pair.
John Edward Wood, a 21 year old baker, from Ashton, quite a typical lad, that you would find in their ranks during this period, he clearly enjoyed himself and was obviously brassed off, or indeed, "right browned off" with baking bread.
What are your concerns about it?
Regards Frank

Good Morning Frank.....

I was wondering about the 01 and 02 being on different medals and not both on the KSA.....

But it looks like that it is a single bar KSA to a SA unit...... And looking at your photo there would be at least 3 people with single bars......

You may remember I purchased a set of Cap Badges a little over a year ago that consisted of Q.O.R. of Canada, Canadian Helmet Plate, SAC, and Transvaal Town Police. I never found out who they really belonged to other than rumor.....

This looks like an interesting group.....

Hello Mike,
This group is as worn by Wood, he is entitled to the pair and clasps as mentioned, moreover, it offers the buyer a good research project, I have no problem with it.
Odd to see how the price has gone up in such a short space of time since my reply to you this morning!
LOL, I too, have bought some SAC badges recently, nice things and not common, in particular the little cap badges, the medals are far more common!
Regards Frank

Frank,

This is probably the reason that some site completely hide their forum or hide the pictures from unregistered visitors.
