Hi all
Just had a good bit of luck I bought a QSA way back in 2004 to Pte John Richards 1556, 2nd Shropshire L.I., bars Cape-Colony--Paardeberg-Driefontein-Johannesburg after my initial research I found
he emigrated to Canada in 1902, he enlisted in early 1916 and joined the 9th Canadian Army Medical Corps, whilst looking on a auction site, up popped his War & Victory medals, what a shock,
they have just arrived, and after a good clean they have been reunited with the Queen's medal.

I hope to get a set of his service papers but RICHARDS have still not been digitized yet, I did however find a mention in the 9th Canadian Field Hospital war diary of his promotion to CPL.

yes well chuffed as only 2nd time reunited medals, but it does show that many are still floating about
