My grandfather served in the 74th (Dublin) Company of the Imperial Yeomanry in the Anglo- Boer war. I am trying to trace his medal group, which consists of the QSA and from World War 1 the British War Medal, Victory Medal and Distinguished Service Medal. His name is G C Waldron and his Boer War service number was 15213 (his World war 1 service number in the Royal navy was 270532). I am anxious to try and buy back these medals and i will pay a finder's fee of £100 to anybody who can locate the current owner of these. Thank you so much to anybody who reads this post and can help me.

I think you are the second person in under a fortnight with a similar request regarding family medals which include service in the famous 74th Imperial Yeomanry, I see George Waldron was actually a Dubliner too, I hope his medals remain all extant and you are able to acquire them in due course,

fseville,

Let's hope these turn up at some point.

A DSM with a QSA is very unusual so the group will definitely be features here should it appear.

Best wishes
