I'm hoping to locate my great-great-grandfather's medals. He was George Poole of the Quay, Ashleworth, Gloucestershire.

His medal entitlement is as follows:

- Queens South Africa Medal with Clasps "ORANGE FREE STATE" & "RELIEF OF KIMBERLEY".
- British War Medal 1914-20
- Victory Medal

He also received a Silver War Badge with the serial number: B.214507

He served with the 2nd Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment under the service number 624 and was wounded en-route to Kimberley at Klip Drift on the 16th February 1900, two days before his birthday. He was subsequently discharged.

He volunteered and rejoined the Gloucesters in August 1914, but was discharged (King's Regulations 1912 Para 392 "unfitness", due to his prior wound) in October 1914. His service number was then 2262.

Not to be deterred, he joined the Midlands Reserve Battalion on 31st December 1914, a regiment which later became the 21st Garrison Battalion, The Rifle Brigade.

He served in Egypt from 1916-18 with the 21st Rif Brig as a rifleman under the number 142 (likely the number engraved on the latter two awards).

Post 1917 his service number was 203505. He was discharged from the 25th (Depot) Battalion Rifle Brigade due to sickness in early January 1919, recieving a Silver War Badge and a pension.

I have also placed adverts in Token Publishing's Medal Tracker.

Any assistance in locating any of the above would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Daniel
