Medals, Queen's SA erroneously claimed and issued in the cases of:

Trumpeter L C T Graham, Base Depot IY (enlisted at 11.5 years. Now Gentleman Cadet).

Trooper R G W H Stone RMC (Aliwal North D M Troops). Enlisted at 12.5 years. Now 2nd Lt, RE.

Must be the youngest medal holders of the QSA or did they take them back.....

Mike,

14064 Lancelot Graham's QSA is on WO100/130p180. There is a cross by his name but it appears that the issue stood. He has his own page, signed Eastbourne, 19 Jul 1901, by, and this may not be by coincidence, Lt Col Henry Graham, Base Commandant.

Stone's QSA is on WO100/280p71. There is again a cross by his name but he is not ruled out. There are several issue dates so I would think the medal was issued.

Would others agree that it looks like the medals were issued?

Regards
David
