Spoke to D.P.S this morning who ruled that the interpretation of A.O. 383/15 should rest entirely with us i.e. that instead of all cases of men who have not truthfully declared their former service being referred to G.O. CinC, that we should function in all cases where men had been demobilised as returned to civil life in any way, provided that we were in possession of full information in their cases. He stated, however, that he thought it would be desirable to circularize [sic] all GO CinC informing them of the proposed alteration in the administration of the A.O. Draft a letter from me to see to the above  effect and bring in the fact that by our suggested method much correspondence will be saved Command Head Quarters.
