Cape Peninsula Regiment is identical with the Cape Town Guard and service with that unit does not quality for the grant of Queen's SA Medal.

Identical with Cape Town Town Guard. Not eligible for the grant of the Queen's SA Medal but a portion called Cape Infantry were awarded the Medal.

Not considered eligible for the grant of the Queen's Medal. The Cape Infantry, formerly the Permanent Duty Company of this regiment was awarded the Queen's Medal (without clasp).
