[DJB - the title word looks more like Isiping's on the page but I think this should be Isipingo? I see there are SAGS medals issued to the Isipingo Mounted Rifles].

The name is indeed 'Isipingo'. The Isipingo Mounted Rifles were absorbed firstly into the Alexandria Mounted Rifles, which with other coastal mounted regiments became the Natal Mounted Rifles. Isipingo was formerly a coastal resort south of Durban, but which became a dormitory suburb for the south Durban industrial area. Like so many of the small towns surrounding Durban, it has all but lost its identity in the eThekwini Metropole.
