Dear Lord Strathcona,

Before the Regiment left Canada we were presented with three silk banners, one from the Citizens of Sudbury, another from Campbellton, N.B. and another from Moncton, N.B. I have brought the banners from South Africa and I would like very much to know how you would like to have them disposed of -- whether we will take them back to Canada with us and upon disbandment of the Regiment send them to you in England or whether you prefer to have them now.
