R.O. 213 – 28-03-1900

Officer of the Day for tomorrow, Lieutenant Boyd, R.C.R.I., next for duty, Lieutenant Winters, R.C.R.I.

R.O. 214 – 28-03-1900

The detail for stable duties is as follows :-

Mounting 8:00 a.m., Major Snyder in charge :-

4th Troop “A” Squadron, 2nd and 3rd Troops “B” Squadron

Mounting 8:00 p.m. Captain Cameron in charge :-

1st Troop “A” Squadron, 3rd and 4th Troops “C” Squadron

R.O. 215 – 28-03-1900

In case of Fire or Collision the Officers, N.C.O.’s and Men of the Command will fall in as follows :-

Royal Canadians, opposite the gangway on the front part of the ship.

“A” Squadron – On the Starboard side of the bridge deck.
“B” Squadron – On the Port side of the bridge deck.
“C” Squadron – On the after bridge deck.

All will remain steady, at attention, awaiting orders. The attention of all ranks is drawn to the above order. The Starboard side of the Bridge Deck is that part from immediately below the Bridge to the rail behind the smoking room, on the right hand of the steamer.

The Port side is opposite.

The after bridge deck is from the rail behind the smoking room to the rail right aft.

Squadron and Troop Officers will take particular care to see that their men understand where their parade grounds are situated.

This order is to be read every day during the remainder of the voyage.

R.O. 216 – 28-03-1900

The Farrier-Sergeant and Corporal Shoeing-Smith and Shoeing-Smiths of “A” Squadron will attend stables on the Upper Deck. The Farrier-Sergeant and Corporal Shoeing-Smith and Shoeing-Smiths of “B” Squadron will attend stables from the bows to stall 76 inclusive on the Port side and to stall 408 inclusive on the Starboard side including center horses. Farrier-Sergeant and Corporal Shoeing-Smith and Shoeing-Smiths of “C” Squadron will attend stables from stall 409 to stern on Starboard side from stall A., to stern on Port side including center horses.

R.O. 217 – 28-03-1900

A Board of Officers will assemble tomorrow and report on the loss of the following horses regimentally numbered as follows, all on the 27th inst. 477 B, 513 B, 56 A, 299 C, 220 C, 167 C, 168 C, 483 C, 428 C, 317 C, 239 C.
