R.O. 291 – 09-04-1900
Squadron and Troop officers will inspect all their men at 7.00 am to- morrow, Tuesday to see particulerly that every man is shaved and hair cut properly.
R.O. 292 – 09-04-1900
Refering to Regimental Order 287 of the 8th instant Officers Dress - Officers who have not the revolver belt will strap on their "Sam Browne" belts.
N.C.O.'s and Mens Dress - That part of the order refering haversacks is cancelled. Haversacks will be packed in kit bags.
R.O. 293 – 09-04-1900
Great Coats, waterproof coats, blankets and waterproof sheets mut be neatly rolled in lengths of 3 feet long and by 15 inches in diameter. At 5.30 am Troop Officers and N.C.O.'s will be responsible that their men are complete in the above.
R.O. 294 – 09-04-1900
A board of Officers of the following detail, President Major Snyder, "A" Squadron. Members, Lieutenant Benyon "B" Squadron and Lieutenant White-Fraser "C" Squadron, "Strathcona's Horse", and Lieutenant Winters, R.C.R.I., will inspect all quarters occupied by the troops, the horse stables, baggage, harness and saddle rooms on board the vessel at 11.30 am tomorrow. They will see that all kit and clothing, arms and accoutriments, harness, saddlery, &c., &c., is gathered up, noting and reporting and deficiencies immediately.

The Officer Commanding desires to say that during the voyage the behaviour of the N.C.O.'s and Men has been very good, with a few exceptions, which have been merely through inexperience. Every N.C. Officer and Man should consider it a personal matter that the good conduct is kept up to the high standard and that any misconduct reflects upon each man in the regiment. The Officer Commanding hopes that the good conduct will continue during the time that the regiment is in South Africa.
