John Albert Barry having been engaged for service in the regiment from the 9th April 1900, is hereby taken on the strenghth and posted to Regimental Staff for duty on Machine Gun Section, his Reg. No. will be 516

Lieutenant Benyon, J.A. will report to "B" Squadron for duty at once.
R.O. 299 – 10-04-1900
Until further orders Regt. No. 277 Corporal Cree, A., H., will act as Post Office Orderly. Qfficers mail will be collected daily by the P.O. Orderly, Sergeants mail will be left in the Sergeants Mess room for him. Corporals and Privates mail will be left at the hospital for him while aboard ship.

Referring to regimental Order No. 270 of 6th April, 1900. The board having taken the evidence of Lieutenant Stevenson and F.G.M. Sgt. McMillan and Mr. Gunn and reported in accordance ith their evidence, the horses named in the above order are struck off the strength of the regiment from the dates of their death.

The detail for stables 11 April 1900, mounting 8.00 am, Major Jarvis in Command, No. 2 of "A", No. 1 of "B" and No. 2 of "C" Squadrons.
R.O. 303 – 10-04-1900
A board of Officers of the following detail, President Major Laurie, Members, Lieutenants Christie and Tobin will assemble tomorrow to report on the death of horse Reg. No. 180, ordered to be shot by Harmsworth Tasker, Lieut. Vety. Inspector. The board will on the same day report on the loss of one horse the property of Maj. Gen. Hutton.

The mens' bedding will be taken from the deck for use to-night and replaced as before by 7.00 am. The men must all be shaved before breakfast.
