N.C.O.s and Privates attached to Maxim Guns are excused all other duties until further notice.

The Commanding Officer desires to bring to the notice of all ranks the disasterous fire which lately occurred in Hull and Ottawa from which the whole of the former City was wiped out and 2000 houses in Ottawa destroyed. A relief fund has been started in London and in other Cities throughout the Empire, and as the Officers, N.C.O.'s & Men of this Regiment may desire to contribute to the benefit of the sufferers, Captain Cameron and Lieut. Letchen are appointed to a Committee to receive subscriptions which will be forwarded by tomorrows mail.

Officers Commanding Squadrons are not to permit any portions of their Squadrons to fall in on parade before the time ordered. The men are to get all the rest necessary.
R.O. 475-01-05-1900
"C" Squadron will march to Maitland this pm to take over remounts. The Regt. transport will convey the tents, field kits, camping outfit and cooking utensils as soon as possible after dinner.
The saddles will be piled in a heap ready to be taken over tomorrow. Major Belcher will be in Command.
"A" and "B" Squadrons will take over the horses of "C" Squadron immediately after dinner, "A" taking the right line and "B" taking the left line. Afternoon parades are cancelled for today.

Until further orders reveille will sound at 6.00 am. Fall-in for stables at 6.15 am, First breakfast bugle at 7.15 am. 2nd Breakfast bugle at 7.30 am. Parades will be ordered daily.
