R.O. 501 – 04-05-1900

Captain of the Day, Captain Cameron, C.W.
Next for duty, Captain Cartwright, F.L.

Subaltern of the Day, Lieut. Laidlaw, C.E.
Next for duty, Lieut. Benyon, J.A.

R.O. 502-04-05-1900

"A" and "B" Squadrons will detail an N.C.O. to arrange spare horse shoes, who will be excused parades and duties till this work is completed.

R.O. 503-04-05-1900

N.C.O.'s & Men comming off guard duties will be for pm drill parades. N.C.O.'s & Men coming off town picquet will be for all parades.

R.O. 504-04-05-1900

The attention of Officers and N.C.O.'s is drawn to sec. 3 page 207 of "Cavalry Drill" 1898 relating to intervals, distances and depths. Officers and N.C.O.'s should see that the regulations laid down are correctly carried out.

R.O. 505-04-05-1900

Maxim Gun Officers will attend all stables until further orders.

R.O. 506-04-05-1900

Until further orders two batmen per squadron will be detailed daily for officers messes and will be excused parades on that day. No men will be detailed for two or more days in succession.

R.O. 507-04-05-1900

The following non-com officers and men only will be excused daily parades viz:-

Those on guard and stable picquet. Two batment (officers mess orderlies), Regt. Staff and Squadron cooks, Farriers, Shoeing-smiths and saddlers, Regt. and Squadron Q.M. Sgts., C.O.'s Orderly, (except when C.O.'s Parade). Men on sick list. Batmen will be excused morning parade only. Machine-Gun N.C.O. and men will drill with their guns.

R.O. 508-04-05-1900

That part of R.O. 498 which refers to Private Brown, A.H. is hereby cancelled and he will remain in the Machine-Gun section. Private Hogarth will remain at duty.

R.O. 509-04-05-1900

The latter part of R.O. 482 as regards N.C.O.'s and men in hospital suffering from venereal disease is hereby cancelled.

R.O. 510-04-05-1900

CANCELLED

The undermentioned privates have been invalided are hereby struck off strength of the regiment from this date, Regt. No. 105 Pte. Watson, A.P., Regt. No. 369 Pte. Orchard, A.E.
